- Are you lacking stimulation in your projects?

Principal Environmental Scientist - Autonomy, Security, Flexibility?
A degree of flexibility & autonomy not usually given in this level of role.
The team’s current market position is focussed on government and linear infrastructure development projects. Previous success in this sector has given them the weight to secure a number of high-profile projects which are running into late next year. Business Plan in place for strong growth in team size over the next 6 months to cope with the increased project demand.
Strategic Plan to follow this growth by looking toward the Energy, Mining & Resources sector.
Two-fold role; - Initially you will be focussing on the management of the group and assisting in delivery of major projects throughout QLD and NSW.
- Secondly, your profile in the QLD market will help in securing resources and energy sector projects later next year as the team grows.
The security of this team’s current market position makes this a fantastic role for somebody at the 10 - 15 year mark, who has held senior positions on large projects and now is looking to play off that experience to build up their profile by securing projects themself.

PRINCIPAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT - Playing for the wrong team??
Ever feel like you’re playing for the wrong team?
There is a whole suite of projects coming online off the back of recent success in partnering with a particular Oil & Gas company. The company has aligned itself with my client because of its reputation for providing innovative environmental programs and solutions.
With a number of their sites receiving domestic and internationally recognised awards and an Environment Manager who has recently received ministerial accolades for his achievements in the environment field, you know you won’t be hampered with ruthless, cost-cutting driven KPIs which compromise the quality of your work.
Even at the level of Principal Environmental Consultant you can still expect to have support functions around you, in the form of seasoned experts with their names chalked up against a multitude of locally and internationally significant projects working to Commonwealth, World Bank & EU standards.

Environmental Planner/Engineer - Technical Lead & Bid Manager
Technical Lead for about 20 people; you will be given relatively free reign from the Manager who is more involved in corporate development.
Lead by example by rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in the projects, while still being able to delegate duties out to junior staff well.
More of a coordinator; you pull everything together for the team, do the client negotiations and project costings, meet with regulators, build the project teams and then manage projects right through to delivery.
You have been in consulting long enough to know what is needed to secure new projects and have a solid reputation in the QLD market to leverage off existing clients and massage them through the process.
As a good decision-maker; you will hold key positions on bid teams and bring teams together for the tendering process.
Delegate documentation chapters out to the specialist staff, monitor their progress and then review and polish final reports before they are handed over to clients.
A lateral thinker who is quick on their toes, you will need to be a good communicator and relate well to people.

- Your job is to do just that in Brisbane.
There is a demand for projects already in the office so you are walking into a secured pipeline. Essentially, the main purpose of the role is to build on this base of projects while developing a specialist EIA and Environmental Approvals team under you. As such, experience in strategic management, project management and a track record of some notable projects in Brisbane will put you ahead of the pack for this role.

Environmental Manager
The group is one of the longest standing in QLD. Certainly lots of work. Unlike most other consulting roles you won't have to focus on crunching away at business development and attempt to bring miraculous amounts of projects. They want a well known Environmental Manager in QLDs resources sector, as they know the role will fully utilise your high profile and top end management experience in a General Management capacity. Equity options are available, which of course pays more the longer you are with the group. Appealing to someone who is looking to ‘settle down’ and really take ownership of the team. The key to this role is to: - Co-ordinate a team of specialist senior staff,
- Maintain and 'polish' the loyal client base,
- Keep an eye on upcoming opportunities, and
- Stay on top of the project flow.
You would need to be comfortable in a senior management role, having been responsible for permanent teams of over 20 staff (including budgeting, performance review, utilisation rates etc.).
